The club&#8217;s main aims are to promote safe and fun radio control flying for all kinds of model aircraft types including electric, petrol&nbsp; and glow powered flight, gliders, drones, helicopters&nbsp; and control line. Some fly scale models and other 3D aerobatic planes,<\/p>\n<p>With the site located in a full sized runway there is easily enough room for you to come and visit Chesil Model Flying Club. Another benefit of a large field is that it makes an easy area for beginners to learn to fly model planes, with no trees or fences to worry about!<\/p>\n<p>We are members of the <a href=\"https:\/\/bmfa.org\/\">British Model Flying Association.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Chesil Model Flying Club always welcomes <a href=\"http:\/\/chesilmodelflyingclub.co.uk\/radiocontrol\/powered-training\/\">beginners<\/a>, so if you are thinking about taking up the hobby of r\/c model aircraft flying, or just want to see what happens at a model flying club, just come along and have a look! If you want to fly or see some people and planes at the site, the best time to come to Chesil Model Flying Club would be either a Saturday or a Sunday mid morning.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to have a tutored test flight with Chesil Model Flying Club, you will pair up with one of the club instructors, and using a &#8216;Buddy-box&#8217; radio control system (which allows the instructor to take control of the plane at any time in case of an emergency) you will be taught the basics of flight. A small fee of \u00a33 (To cover model fuel and help club funds etc.) will have to be paid to the instructor.
