The Pymore flying site has now been re-OPENED (Nick has spoken to Paul, thanks Nick). If there are more heat waves it may be closed again so keep an eye out here and on Whatsapp. Please make sure the Fire extinguisher signs are in place and the Fire extingushers on the field ready if required. Please be careful.

A very busy 2 days flying for many club members and thanks to Wayne Munro who provided burgers on Sunday!

Weymouth is gearing up to celebrate the return of Armed Forces Weekend, which officially kicks off this Friday on the seafront with a display of military vehicles from 7pm – 9pm.

From 10am Saturday, the Dorset Military Vehicle Association will be on display at the Jubilee clock with live music from local bands.

The main event is Sunday with an Armed Forces and Veterans Service parade staring at 11am.

There will also be a flypast (subject to weather) with a selection of Britain Memorial aircraft, around 11am.

This years club fly-in will be July the 4th-5th. If the weather looks bad, it will be the weekend after on the 11th-12th of July.

Hi Everyone . I just thought I would give you a heads up on the meeting on Tuesday 2nd June 2026 . It was well attended with 20 + members present with a few brave souls flying . Nick has spoken to Fred & Paul and they confirmed that they have no plans stopping us using the site . The club would like to remind everyone of the following. Flying times 7 days a week are 9AM to 5PM for electric models with a start time for IC models 10AM. Please stick to the footpaths , no models to be placed on the long grass If you happen to land off the runway or in the surrounding fields 🙈please retrieve your plane on your own via the shortest route . Please don’t park over the roadway and if tractors are operating please give them the right of way . We are very lucky to be able to use this site so please stick to the rules , I know I wouldn’t want 50 blokes sitting in my back garden reving up engines . The club fly in is scheduled for a weekend in July dates to be announced shortly. If I’ve missed anything please leave a comment . Thanks Jeff
