This is (was) Peter’s first plane. a trainer. He has cherished it and nursed it through good and bad for thirty or forty years. Now it joins the community of ex-planes who have a permanent place in the sky.

You might have seen this “pattern ship” flown expertly over the years by “Small Boy” Sparks. It is only fitting that its final exit took place in front of a large crowd at the funfly day!

Back from the brink, or just over the Edge?

This Edge540 was offered for sale recently on the site described as having some hangar rash and a few small dinks.

It flew extremely well providing it was not inverted! We will put that one down to Pilot error then….

If you remember I ‘used’ to have a Hanger 9 PTS Mustang trainer, or at least I had it until last Saturday. I didn’t even need a big black bin-bag to put the bits in; a little tiny doggy poo bag was enough ! Still, mustn’t think of it as a disaster; must think of it as an opportunity (to get another one).
