All members should be aware by now that the UK have adopted a new set of regulations for model flying that came into effect on 31st Dec 2020.
The situation can seem a little complicated and so it is considered essential that all members read (as a minimum) the BMFA document “CAA Article 16 Authorisation – A guide to the new regulations for model flying” to understand the background and the key conditions & restrictions associated with the new regulations.
It should be noted that within these regulations there is now a requirement from the CAA, for (certain) members to confirm they have read and understood Article 16 authorisation.
Please read the above guide, available on the BMFA web site (https://rcc.bmfa.uk/article-16) and, if applicable, tick the relevant” Opt-in” box in your profile on the BMFA Go-Membership portal (https://bmfa.azolve.com/ ).
You must stay at home.
